This new top cabin upon Giebmegáisi was erected during 2016 as a replacement for the two older worn-down Top cabins (now only one) some distance further down the slope. Situated at the top plateau hosting the mountain's glacial summit, it has also taken over the title of the highest building in Sweden. The cabin is intended for short rests and emergency shelter for up to 20 people, and does not include a heater.
